In Georgia thousands of people are killed or injured each year by the negligent conduct of others. When someone suffers an injury due to negligence, Georgia law provides the injured person the ability to recover money for their losses. Negligence must be proven with evidence. Both people and corporations can be negligent. Injuries can result from a variety of negligent conduct, such as automobile wrecks, landowner negligence, negligently designed or manufactured consumer products, faulty equipment, or negligence of a professional such as a medical doctor. Not every injury is the result of negligence.
