Wrongful Death

Sometimes injuries are so severe that life is lost. When there is a death that results from the negligence of another, multiple claims can be presented on behalf of both the surviving family members and the deceased person. Wrongful death is the term generally used for one of the claims that can be made against a negligent person or company. Essentially, a wrongful death claim is a personal injury claim that survives death. Georgia law specifically requires certain action to be taken under these circumstances, especially where the decedent died without a will.
